1.The Invention
Title (in 1 line): This example of what i can do is called the "Texas Samovar".
The problem the inventor(s) wanted to solve: The gas crisis. Avoiding end of human civilization.
Description: Gasification +Fischer-Tropsch is most likely the best route to sustainable biofuels. It plugs right in to the current system without the financial problems of building all those hydrogen cars. Even better is the distributed model i have in mind - imagine if we were able to sell the devices themselves...
Presentation: Well, its rather simple - we gasify the organic material, turning it into CO+2H2, filter the S out, and send it to the F-T reactor. After some membraneous filtering, one has gasoline (and water that is reused - addition of water unnecessary in full version)
Fields of application: Chem Eng. - Sustainable fuel production
Advantages:
1: No having to build expensive hydrogen cars or solve their problems. We dont have enough platinum left on this planet to build the things.
2: 1.00 a gallon gas made from biomass and garbage
3: Regulation of the carbon cycle by methods only tangentially related to the device, such as composting human waste to grow biofuel plants such as switchgrass and hemp.
4: Eventually, the plastics made using full-scale plants will close the cycle when properly recycled.
5: If a fibrous plant such as hemp is used, clothing could enter the cycle as well.
